Terms of Use

1. The service

Okanize is a personal-finance tool for tracking budgets, expenses, savings goals, and shared expenses. It is a record-keeping aid, not a bank, accounting service, or financial advisor, and nothing in the app constitutes financial advice.

2. Accounts

Okanize requires an account created with Apple, Google, or an email link. You’re responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region).

3. Subscriptions and billing

Plans

Okanize Pro is offered as a monthly subscription at $4.99 or a limited-time annual subscription at $29.99. The regular annual price is $59.99. The annual offer is available through September 30, 2026. Prices are in USD; local prices, eligibility, and renewal pricing are shown by Apple before you confirm.

Free trial

New subscribers receive a free 7-day trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your chosen plan converts automatically into a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged at the end of the trial.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. The renewal charge is applied within the 24 hours before the new period starts.

Cancellation

Cancellation is handled through Apple: open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Okanize, or visit the App Store’s subscription management. You keep Pro access until the end of the paid period; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

All billing is processed by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) and are subject to Apple’s policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.

Price changes

If a subscription price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.

4. Your responsibilities

• Enter accurate information; the app’s insights are only as good as your records.
• Keep your device and sign-in methods secure.
• Back up anything you can’t afford to lose; use the CSV export for your records.
• Comply with applicable laws when using the app.

5. Shared spaces and shared financial data

Shared spaces let multiple people record and split expenses together. Please understand:

• Anything you add to a shared space is visible to that space’s members: expenses, splits, comments, reactions, and attached receipts.
• Balances and “who owes whom” figures are computed from the records members enter. We don’t verify them, and they may be wrong if records are missing or inaccurate.
• Settlements recorded in the app are records of an agreement between members. No money moves through Okanize; any payment happens outside the app, between you.
• We’re not responsible for disputes between members. Only share spaces with people you trust.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
• Probe, attack, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Scrape, harvest, or access other users’ data without authorization.
• Upload malicious content, or content you have no right to share.
• Misrepresent your identity or another person’s.
• Reverse-engineer the service except where the law allows it.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep Okanize reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. Sync and notifications depend on Apple services, cloud infrastructure, and your network, and may occasionally be delayed or unavailable.

8. Account termination

You can stop using Okanize and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete Account; see Account Deletion). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Intellectual property

Okanize, its design, and its content (excluding yours) belong to Ateruitech 株式会社. Your records remain yours; you grant us only the limited rights needed to store, sync, and display them back to you and your shared spaces.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or financial decisions made using the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or the minimum the law allows, if greater).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
